liam banta Benjamin star is doing some very important work in showing his audience an intensely caring way of being; from building empathy for the people so easily hated in the songs "SUMthing,"and "mirrors," to rewriting the way in which we tend to interact with women in our society in "Love, for you." Of course we can't overlook all the work put towards lifting up the African American community throughout this tape as well. Props, for real. Favorite track: Love, for You (Prod. ManHe).

about

"This album is essential to me because it authenticates who I am now as an evolved artist and Black man who has endured. I'm not hyperfocused on following trends, fitting into a category, or exuding a persona. I care more about being a living, breathing example of my manhood, especially regarding freedom and growth. I work to deliver that expression of manhood using every medium that I'm gifted to master. This album is essential because each record I craft with my brothers and sisters in mind and my lived experience. I needed a creative outlet for my ego, rage, failures, insecurity, and hopes. I needed to make music that makes people want to pump their fists, move their bodies, or just be incredibly proud of being Black every day! I want to thank everyone for all the support, inspiration, critiques, and prayers for me as an artist-human being. Without those things, it would have been even more difficult to grow my mindset in a manner that moved my soul to write this album. The last year and a half has been quite a rollercoaster for everybody, and it has led many people to many of their unique destinations and led me here. Hopefully, this project will help someone move closer to someone else and to that beautiful Black feeling of simply being."
